Handle Your Hair Gently and Keep It

There are some things in life that you can’t do much about but there are others which you can assist in some way or another. An example of this is whenever you’re talking about hair loss, something that many people consider to be inescapable while others know the truth that there are many things that you can do which will reduce or perhaps even reverse the problems that you are experiencing with hair loss. A good example of this is handling your hair properly.

Of course, it would be beneficial for you to know exactly why it is that we lose our hair in the first place. Hair loss is something that everybody goes through on a daily basis and it is as a result of the hair cycle stopping. Hair only grows for a matter of anywhere from two to six years and at that point, it enters into a resting period. Our hair is continually going through this and eventually, it falls out so that new hair can begin growing. The hair on our heads cycles through this process at different times, so we are constantly losing hair and we are not losing it all at the same time.

The unfortunate thing is, many individuals experience hair loss that overtakes the ability of the hair to regrow itself. At times, this may occur as a result of pattern baldness that is genetically passed on to the family line but there are other times when ever you may be mistreating your hair and losing it as a result. For example, drying your hair on a daily basis, using a curling irons, pulling it back tightly in cornrows or a pigtail are harming your hair are all ways of mistreating it and can result in hair loss.

If you find that you are falling underneath this umbrella of problems, the fortunate thing is that many of them are not permanent. All that is really necessary for you to do is to start treating your hair a little bit better and it will reward you by reducing the amount of baldness that you have. Allow your hair to be natural for a while and avoid blow drying it on a daily basis. Don’t pull it back into a braid too tightly and don’t allow chemicals to treat it regularly. If you reduce the amount of unnecessary wear and tear on your hair, you will find that you are growing it back again.
