People often gain weight as they get older. When you have a lower total weight, you have a lower chance of problems like strokes, heart disease, and some forms of cancer. A combination of the right food choices and a moderate exercise program, will help to keep your body at a healthy weight.

Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Your diet should consist of lots of veggies and fruit and small amounts of fats and sugar. Eating the right food will make your mind and body healthier, and keep you going throughout the day.
Add laughter to your life. Even if you are not happy, you can force your mind into feeling good by laughing. This will help slow the aging process and keep you young. Try watching comedies, going to parties or getting a pet. Find things that make you happy and tickle your funny bone.

Also try doing some light strength training exercises, and get plenty of vitamin D and calcium to keep your bones strong.
