There are many decorating choices that you have when putting together the perfect nursery for your baby, and what you do depends on your style and what you want for your baby. You can go with the very calm and serene look, or you can go with something that you will find will stimulate your baby. Some choose to spend only sleeping time in the nursery, which means calm is the way to go. Otherwise, you may want to go with baby nursery murals that will be colorful but also stimulating to your baby’s mind. It can do more for them than you think.

Some doctors believe that contrast and bright, vivid colors can do wonders for the developing mind of a baby. Each time they look at something along those lines, their brains turn on and they gather information. This can only be a good thing. Baby nursery murals that are done in brighter colors with a lot of motion and contrast can really be great for developing that smart baby you just know that you have. Not all murals should be vivid and wild, but you can come up with a happy medium that looks great but that will also help your baby.

Babies can not see very far at first, which means your mural will not have much effect on them right away. They see an average of six to eight inches away – the perfect distance to see you while you are close to each other. As they get older, they can see further and further away, making your baby nursery murals closer to your baby. They can see some color at first, but contrasting colors like black and white, or black white and read are great. You should not make an entire mural of that though, as that can be hard on the eyes for everyone else. Instead, make that part of it, but certainly not all of it.

Other than contrast, you want to have bright colors in your baby nursery murals. Though there are some serene types of murals you can use, they won’t stimulate your baby much early on, though they will be nice later on when baby learns to self soothe to go to sleep. Vivid colors and pictures that baby can easily make out will do wonders for brain development and are a lot of fun too. If you don’t want this in the nursery, it is a great idea for a playroom.

If you want to do something for your baby with your baby nursery murals, but you don’t know where to start, get some ideas from books that are made for babies under the age of twelve. These include colors and simple pictures that babies seem to love. Also remember that babies look for the face, as in two eyes and a smile, as they are instinctively drawn to human faces. That is a survival instinct in place so that baby can find mom and dad. Adding human like faces along with everything else can help you come up with the perfect mural for your new baby.
